I don't know what Etika's mom ever did to him, if anything at all, but for him to denounce her so rudely by saying fuck her and her wishes for him, and to say she'll probably be dead before him is incredibly callous and morally wrong. If he is saying this 100% clear of mind and not because he is fucked in the head he needs some other member of the family or close friend to step up, put him in his place, and really wake his ass up.
