at a interview I was asked if i was over 18 and she looked surprised when my reply was "im 30" and even went on to say "sorry you look young"
Find stuff like that funny at interviews though if they just looked at my application for 2 seconds theyd have their answer.
Maybe they thought you would slip up or something...
Slip up on my own age? Thats kinda dumb. But no she looked genuinely surprised. Ah. But if you were under 18 and lying, you might have slipped up... I know i can pass for mid 20s though 18 or under kinda caught me off guard
There was no problem with being under 18 at that job. Just affected when they could work you. So i had zero reason to lie.
I know we had lots of people at my Target who tried to get more hours. But couldn't because of age. Idk. Maybe that's what they were thinking. Or it could've been a mistake... Or made to look like one.

I assume they thought i was younger. I do get id'd a lot. Just usually not when I have my beard which I particularly find weird cause i feel I look older without ---
