eah, the title is silly. But there's a fair amount of discussion about the harm in men dismissing titles when women often need them to be taken seriously, and often not even then. So I don't take them seriously, but I also try not to be explicitly dismissive of it.

Oh, for sure. I will call people by their title every time if I know it. I just don't seem to care as much if they don't say it to me in most situations.

Though I will put the title if a webform or application gives me the option, like on credit card apps or website registrations.

One time a website had an option to put an academic title, and then would send me form emails addressed to "Mr. PhD"
