Yes. I wouldn't want to say bad news over the phone but I'd still let you know it's urgent.

No. Instead I'd straight up leave a message telling you the bad news so you'll hear it as soon as possible.

So I got a phone call from my aunt today and... nothing. Nothing at all. I didnt answer it because I had my phone on silent so I didnt even hear it, not to mention that I have her number saved as The Devil - DO NOT ANSWER so I probably wouldntve answered it even if I had seen it.

But I did see that it was a missed call a few minutes after she called and I immediately theorized one of two things happened:
Either 1) my father needed a ride to the hospital and she was tired of him calling her, and so she wanted me to take him instead.

Or 2) my father died.

And she called and... nothing. No message... nothing. I figured if it was really something important shed leave a message or call back, so it couldntve been very important.

I got a text from a random friend today. My father died.

...and he was never heard from again.
