Not exactly true. They exhibit a kawaii exterior and demeanor, but that's hardly trying to imitate infantile behaviour. It's more maintaining a profitable look that'll sell albums and merchandise to J-Pop aficionados.
They are notorious for preventing them from pursuing a partner while under contract, though. It's for the sake of keeping the illusion that they're single, pure, and attainable.
