"Venison Roast," you say. "You remember that one from the week with my family, don't you?"

"I think so," Raven says.

"Then we'll need to find somewhere that serves venison, then buy a few different kinds of berries and jams for the sauce."

"That shouldn't be so hard," Raven says.

"Actually, there should be a specialty butcher in town," Great Uncle Alessandro says. "I can direct you there."

"And the market should have the berries and things," Jacintha says.

"Thank you," you say. "Now, let's finish breakfast so we can get started."

You and Raven eat up the ham and eggs, which are very good and filling. You and Raven then wash up and head out on Shadowfax.

Using Great Uncle Al's directions, you find the specialty butcher.

"Gei sou! <Hello!>" the butcher greets as you walk in. "Ps bor na sas voithso? <How may I help you?>"

"Um, eh... elfi?"

"Ah, elfi, neh, neh!" he nods. "Ti perikop? <What cut?>"

"Pso imnta?"

"Oh, bakku sutrap," he says. "Neh, neh, we have. How many?"

"Oh, hmm, hadn't thought about that," you say. "We might be able to get two or three out of each strap, and then we need two per person..."

"You can probably cut out the kids from that number," Raven says. "Andres is a bit young for steak, and I'm not sure the others would be able to eat that much anyway."

"Okay, so then..."

By your count, that's still 18 people, including you and Raven. As you say, you might be able to get three each, but you can't be sure.

"Dekaocht, sas parakalome."

The butcher nods and goes to the back. He and an assistant package up 18 hefty cuts of deer meat for you, and you pay him 360. Raven helps you carry the meat to Shadowfax, and you put them all in a special refrigerated Magi-Pocket.

The market is next, and easy to maneuver. You're sure the Xenos have plenty of salt and pepper for seasoning, so you focus on getting the fruits and berries. Together, you and Raven track down plenty of blueberries, blackberries, red currants, black currants, red grapes, raspberries, and then watercress for the garnish. All of this you pay about a total of 200, given you need enough to go with the 18 orders.

"Just managed to cover all that," you say. "Let's get home, and the two of us can start working on these."

"Oh, I'll be helping?" she asks.

"Well of course," you say. "I've got 18 orders to prepare, it'll go faster if we each do nine. But you'll do fine."

"I'll take your word for it," she says.

The two of you head back and return to the Xenos home as everyone is having lunch.

"Welcome back," Jacintha says. "Did you find everything you needed?"

"Yes, and all in great condition," you say.

You set the knapsack down and pull out the 18 venison backstraps.

"Raven, could you please start on the first phase?" you ask. "It's simply mashing the berries and grapes into jams. In the meantime, I'll make us a quick lunch."
