I feel like Sony's core titles are stronger, at least they appeal more to me than Halo and Gears You are absolutely right on core titles but Sony also only have 3 left this generation and they've all been shown a lot. They just don't have the stuff, they are paying the debt they built up by making a lot of very early hype announcements in the first half of the generation. Microsoft have enough coming they haven't shown before, and enough third party deals, to put on a decent show despite a weaker first party lineup. Though I will say, the first half was terrific but when it got to Gears it declined a lit. And frankly, the Gears showing was terrible. What was that? They showed no single player beyond a CG trailer of the lead's face, a teaser of a multiplayer mode with no actual gameplay, then an awful-looking Terminator tie-in. It was a weak, overly long showing for their biggest game this year and I don't think the conference quite recovered after that. --- I just decided to change this sig.
