I mean, not for story reasons, but because it puts the player's personal investment into the game at stake, appears super urgent and encourages the player make bad guy decisions for sake of practicality, in a game where you play as the bad guy (who just happens to be fighting a badder guy).
And the best part is that the presentation makes it unclear whether it's best to contunue the story or do detective work first. For the first time in the whole game, I legitimately don't know how to proceed. And it deals with a topic as touchy from a narrative standpoint as the gameplay is. Loving it. Whoever at KP had this idea deserves a raise.
The story so far has varied from WTF to stupid but this was one great decision.
Yeah, I liked that part of the story and it comes to a head rather poignantly. ---
