It's being used the same way mankind is used, which is a gender neutral term for human beings.


She?s an overweight middle-aged woman who probably loathes the typical comic fan. It shouldn?t be surprising that she?s out of touch. Not to mention how utterly stupid it would be to ditch a brand as strong as X-Men.


What do you think of this idea I had?... we just clearly define the words man and men as referring to all humans, as in the human species, which would not be inaccurate, but as a compromise, we undefine it as also meaning male humans and make up a new word for that? Like all people are men, female people are women and male people are some new word, like "non-women" or something? Do you think that would be an acceptable compromise that at least most people could agree upon?
