Balrog wanted to know why NY was less progressive than other states. I'm pointing out that outside of NYC it's not a progressive state. Ya I was going to say, even your biggest redneck in upstate is nothing compared to other parts of the country. To some degree it has to do with the aging population and the number of jobs that come from 'correctional' facilities, and general law enforcement.
