I think it's actually an interesting play as scum. It can only be made by people who the rest think are strong players. But it essentially says, I know something you don't know but I'm not going to tell you. Then people start wondering, oh what is it. Maybe it's this? Maybe it's that. Even if they don't necessarily vocalize it. And they probably wouldn't vocalize it immediately but it might come out later.
