John Wick walks into an animal shelter when he discovers he just saved the animals from having their throats slit and they want to see him. He quickly makes an effort to help the animals and explains why he saved them and what has come of the humans.

The next episode shows weirder animals than those seen in the first episode before:

What's the deal with that fish, anyway? Oh yeah, it looks just like the one from an episode earlier where an escaped prison warden used his magic to transform himself into a giant lion and hunt down and capture a bunch of birds. Oh well, it was one of these episodes when he made up this story about his love for lions; he really did go all Dr. Whale on the birds. (I wonder if he's still up to his old trick of having birds swoop down and snatch them out of their nests?) The lion didn't come out with any help from the warden, but that's because he knew just what to expect and it just ended up being a pretty sweet episode, thanks in part to some great production values, but in most cases because you don't need more of him.

Now don't get me wrong, these animals will do things because they have something to share with their rescuers, like what they saw on The X-Files episode, "The Search" which is, you guessed it
