And then suddenly the final chapter takes a most ridiculous turn. Turns out that ~~The Angel of Death set the entire thing up to prevent a machine that x-rays paintings from discovering his own existence via a series of paintings that kill people when owned~~ and that the protagonist was being set-up by ~~masquerading as his dead brother in the form of a hallucination~~. And then they defeat him by ~~choosing NOT to commit suicide because of course being the Angel of Death he was all about Death and shit~~. It's so utterly ridiculous, I thought I'd put the spoiler tags up for anyone who cares to play this obscure pt click adventure. Oh even better.
