Any fatality that can in any way be tied to the government's failure in oversight (Ex - the melamine baby formula milk scandal, or the Jiangxi dam bursting) results in the government going ballistic, finding some scapegoats, publicly sentencing them to death or life imprisonment, then patting itself on the back as the "protector of the people"

And publicly discussing corruption is literally illegal. It's considered sewing public discord.
Don't forget this doozy.

They literally tried to bury the evidence with Bulldozers.

Then when enough complaints, they actually recover the trains by unearthing them; but by then the accident site was so contaminated that it was meaningless to do any forensic study on the trains.

They literally got babies killed due to toxic milk formula being passed by bribed officials. The officials are still in power.
