And let's be honest here, many of the vocal left aren't toleratant at all because they immediately get pissed off when people say stuff they don't agree with. Why can't we all just mind our own business and let other people do what they want? we should let people lie, cheat, and steal (and worse), and not do anything about it because its not our business unless they are doing it to us? If their lies don't affect you, it's not your business. If they're cheating and it don't affect you, it's not your business.
