My mom knocked down my tablet while it was plugged in, damaging its charging port to near uselessness. It only acknowledges a charging cable if it's in just the right position and even then, it only slows down the battery drain. I think it will slowly charge if I put it in sleep mode, but I'm not putting up with that. I ordered a new one off Amazon (thank you, partial payment plan) and it should arrive tomorrow, but with me ordering it at midnight, it's not a guarantee. I've got my laptop if need be, but with 2+ years of updates to go through one at a time and potential cat hairs in it, I want to minimize its use.
