the moment you raise a kid for X number of years, blood relations cease to matter. you've long since committed to that. society doesn't work if men just decide "oh, i don't have any responsibilities here. it's not mine!" as if the work you put in can just be erased/forgotten this is how you get fatherless homes/crimes/etc. If the woman was bad enough to cheat, you're still worse for not being a real man and committing to what you started. I'm not arguing he should stay married (she should be dumped to the curb) but the child you've raised is more important than anything in your life at that point. He obviously never loved his child and has no sense of social responsibility. "alpha/beta" is irrelevant here because the real world doesn't function around a dichotomy, especially not long after the point where you've had a child hopefully the courts force him to take responsibility. This is one aspect of society I tend to be fairly conservative on - if it was a baby that was recently born I could see his point of view, but by now, the child knows him as his dad. It's much too late to cut him off. The child matters more than his desire to be "free" of parental responsibility --- Enjoy movies and television? Check out my blog!
