The irony of course is that the left calls illegal aliens "undocumented immigrants" to make them LESS scary, so be careful about complaining about who's trying to control the language.

I mean, that's not ironic. That's just not trying to dehumanize a large swath of humanity.

How is it dehumanizing?

And how are illegal Mexican immigrants anywhere close to a large swath of humanity?

Are we going to pretend like people don't psychologically associate words with certain concepts and emotions? Is that what we're doing right now? There are literally branding specialists in our society who study the subconscious effects of words and phrases in our zeitgeist and exploits their associations for the benefits of mega-corporations or political campaigns. This exploitation of language is one of the cornerstones of modern marketing.

If you say the word "Alien" to someone, do you think an immigrant is the first thing that comes to mind? Or do they more likely think of the Xenomorph from Ridley Scott's titular "Alien", who literally eats people faces using a tiny extendable mandible inside of it's already vicious, gaping maw? Or maybe the terrifying Covenant fleet hellbent on destroying humanity? Or maybe the blood-thirsty bugs from Starship troopers who rend people limb from limb? Or maybe Rosa Jimenez, the nice cleaning lady who works at their apartment building and bakes delicious empanadas?

I mean, I know what I associate the word "Alien" with, and I know that association is literally the exact definition of "inhuman". So when people insist on calling them "Illegal aliens", it's kind of like a white supremacist insisting on calling a Black teen "boy". You are absolutely technically correct. You are also dehumanizing a living human being because they are different from you and come from a different background.

Also, Trump estimates there are around 30 million illegal immigrants in the United States. I don't know if that number is true, but that certainly qualifies as a "Large swath of humanity" to me. If you disagree, please post a huge semantic explanation below about this entirely petty and insignificant point of contention.

It feels like they're pretending. It's like they just want blowjobs and they know these songs will get them
