Because there is 14 unclaimeds. He basically just went heroball with a suicidal claim if scum. Counters exist. The setup will reveal if doesn't fit when it opens up. And he has been forced to give accurate information that makes sense.

2. If they don't die... THEN WE LYNCH THEM! MUAHAHAHA (wut? There's probably exactly wolf powers to counter town powers, so if he's town, he's as good as neutralized anyway?)
3. LET THE REAL TOWN INVESTIGATIVES CLAIM THEN! (wut? again? seriously? You want the real Town investigatives to out themselves? in exchange for someone who was clearly being pushed from all sides? If he's mafia he was going down anyway, he's got nothing to lose at that stage but trying to force real investigatives to claim)
So yeh, I think this is bad strategy
