This game is not worth $120. I agree. I'm not buying half a game at a time. If both halves were 30 bucks then maybe i will i played Digital devil saga 1 and 2 the mass effect trilogy ,hack gu and even FFXIII trilogy games with the story split in parts / episodic like this arent new to me they go way back Terrible analogy. Why? If each half of this FF7 remake has as much content as DDS1 and 2, then this is 100% fair to me. Engage with that post. Why is it a terrible analogy? It's taking something that was already completed as one experience and splitting it in half. Being a part of a trilogy isn't the same because (ideally) each of those can still be taken on their own as something with a beginning, middle and end. If FF7 didn't already exist as one game previously then there wouldn't be the backlash because there's nothing to compare it to. A better analogy is when movies based on books are split into two parts, and then a bunch of filler is placed in to justify splitting them. Granted, we obviously don't know how Remake will be fleshed out so it could work better here.
