That was the turning point, in which the show went from pretty faithful adaptation despite the unfilmable nature of the source material, to holy shit what the fuck were they thinking? The show's never really recovered from that point. 'Winds of Winter' is the only episode since then that I've genuinely enjoyed; in all other cases, closure and morbid curiosity have been my motivations to continue watching. --- Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read. ...
