| Peridiam 05/10/19 4:34:41 PM #10: | I think it's just Probst wants to up the ante as much as he can. Push until it breaks. Test as much as possible. I don't think he's interested in going back to basics, but more so in exploring what's next. He's all about big swings and going for broke, trying something different with each iteration. I think he also doesn't view these seasons as a regression, or worse off than previous seasons. As long as he continues to push the envelope, and the fans still stick around (which they will, because Survivor has a big, strong core audience), he's gonna keep trying new, wacky, potentially disruptive, but potentially inventive ideas.
