We could always go back to giving people brain damage with isolation, or just throw them away in a jail cell, because fuck all if I can think of a smart way to deal with mentally ill people. Yeah no. Every time we have this conversation I'm trying to find a reason why we don't need harsher gun control, because tbh, I don't really care about mass shootings (lightning kills 50 people a year too, about 1/5 the mass shooting deaths), and I'm just met with a wall of stupid.
