yeah i fought ixion a few times after getting Bartz AASB to finish my 20 magicite quest at the end of March (Bartz AASB came out on the 29th lol so that tells you how much i procrastinated). thing just melts.

and speaking of procrastinating on the 20 magicite quest, i finished it yesterday taking down Geos for the first time. used Shantotto, Ashe, Tyro, Elarra, Vivi. took a while to figure out the right way to go about it. i give Shantotto a regular water resist accessory and start having her defend. she can't get a spell off before getting stunned anyway. this triggers her trance on the first aoe, and frees up the water+dark resist accessory for Vivi, just enough for him to survive and trigger his trance right after casting the USB1. i think this is the first difficult thing i've fought without giving Elarra curada; gave her allegro and the bard mag buff to make up for the lack of OK/gen2 chain. which i think makes sense with everything either being aoe or triggering trance.

i was actually kind of amazed at how perfectly my exact process works after failing miserably so many times. Ashe's first turn after USB is right after the chain, Shantotto has just enough meter to USB the turn after her chain (thanks to a partial Tyro entrust), Ashe gets just enough meter to AOSB just before she gets petrified. and the aforementioned trances.

good thing they gave us those extra rubies, let me make lunatic thunder and chain thundaja without having to fight anymore torments. next is probably phoenix, then with HP boon/blade ward/spell ward i will finally feel adequate defensively.
