Also saw a stat that said opponents hit .336 vs Diaz in tie games and .160 in everything else. Obviously that's probably not meaningful, but those are career numbers so it's not insignificant. Not blaming him for either loss though, this team just can't get it together all at once, and it's always that way. The pitching is on but the hitting does nothing, or vice versa. We finally got vintage 2018 deGrom again tonight, but of course came with that the 2018 Mets offense behind deGrom.
