If everyone who was around the fire lived (with no major injuries, even), what was the point of the episode? Why would they complete Briennes arc, or make Grey Worm seem so vulnerable? The pre-battle could have been kept to one episode, and these character moments could have been saved for before the big fight against Cersei Because they need padding. Look how it takes a good 15 minutes before the "fight" to start. I get it, you want tension, but it doesn't feel like tension... It feels like they only have 8 episodes to conclude a series of many years and they don't really know what to do, so they pad episodes with useless shit. --- stuff ... Copied to Clipboard! |
