In other news, I'm checking some newer games' stats and:
Kingdom Hearts III is looking like the next FFXII in terms of strength and contest performance. FFXIV: ARR has managed to stay relevant and it looks like it could perform well, but that isn't a GameFAQs type of game. Who knows, maybe it can beat FFXV within a 1v1 match. Devil May Cry 5 was like: "Hey, did you know a new DMC game came out? Yeah, I somehow missed it as well", so it gives me this weird vibe it will not perform well. Sekiro's hype died in a similar fashion as DMC5's but not as hard. Mortal Kombat 11's reception really caught me off guard. I'm not sure if it would even make it in the field of another GotD. In fact, I don't know how the newer trilogy fares in terms of strength, but maybe MKX > MK9 >>> MK11. REmake 2 may be the strongest entry since RE4.
So far from what I've seen.
Remake 2 might beat RE4 right now due to recency bias but after the dust settles it wont be RE4 in a contest.
