Magic and Nets got nothing to be ashamed about and you could argue that they both have brighter futures going forward than the Raptos/76ers.

Depending on Embiid's health and who they resign I could buy this

I am not so sure the Magic will be better next season. Maybe in 2 years but next year looks questionable

Vucevic likely leaves in the summer because I can't see us offering him big money and someone will. That will make us worse in the immediate future but likely better in the long run. Ross is also questionable to return. I want us to keep him but it really depends on contract numbers. If Vuc and Ross leave that's basically our best offensive pieces walking on a team who already struggles on offense

Bamba will come in to replace Vuc long term after missing half the year but I'm sure he needs a season to acclimatize and his offensive game will take a few years to develop. Fultz could be good or could be bad, we will have to wait and see. I hope he flourishes but I wouldn't be surprised if he is a bust either. And I think on current evidence we probably have to lean towards the latter

Isaac and Gordon should be better and it depends how much of a leap they make but whilst they will be good, they likely aren't good enough to carry a team.

The Nets will entirely depend on the offseason but have a lot more potential to take a step up as they have the most coveted asset this offseason in cap space
