- Africa should no longer be tucked away at the back of the bottom drawer of global politics. One in every nine people alive on the planet lives in Africa south of the Sahara, for Chrissake.
- Humanity is reaching its limits in terms of the number of superhero movies the planet can assimilate. Unless the international community takes action to drastically reduce output within the next three to four years, we are doomed as a species.

- Look, the Internet gives a voice to the kind of loonies who in years gone by would have ranted at passing crowds on busy street corners and been ignored.
