Heres what I got for Defenders:

Jessica Jones - 5 red, 6*
Iron Fist - 4 red, 6*
Luke Cage - 3 red, 7*
Daredevil - 3 red, 6*
Punisher - 2 red, 7*

Some others of note:

Spider-Man - 5 red, 7*
Magneto - 4 red, 5*
Gamora - 4 red, 7*
Crossbones - 4 red, 7*

Im having the worst luck with my SHIELD team. My medic is only at 1 red.

From what I'm reading from other players is that most characters(not minions or low tier) that has 5 red stars or higher are worth building a team around
