Sheik was sent home for being too high to work. Strike 1.

Hardcore TV
3/wk1/96

The Network are in the ring, and Alfonso calls out Cactus and Mikey for their decision- will they forfeit the tag belts for a shot at Douglas? Cactus and Mikey come out, and are reluctant to give an answer. Cactus decides that, no, this team means too much to him. They turn to walk away, and Alfonso taunts them- he knew they were cowards, but that's good anyway, because Cactus Jack doesn't have what it takes to be the face of ECW anyway! ....That strikes a chord. Cactus spins around. You think he doesn't have what it takes? He doesn't fit the new image of ECW? Well, he's going to show Alfonso and Douglas what ECW is really all about! He accepts! Alfonso is glad to hear it. By the way, this shot is a one on one match, so Whipwreck is out of luck! Cactus realizes he just got played as Jericho retrieves the tag belts. (C)

Now that the tag titles are vacant, we need new champs! What the Flock will face The Eliminators, with the winners fighting the Pitbulls at the PPV for the belts. Stevie and New Meanie just aren't quite on their game, and that is not how you want to be against Kronus and Saturn. Kronus gets a clean win. (D+) Raven berates his minions like we have seen a few times already. Tensions are mounting! Beulah decides she can't handle it, and walks off! Raven gets little sympathy from his bois. (D+)

RVD faces Jericho. A back and forth match until RVD clearly botches. Jericho suffers a Depressed Zygomatic Fracture, but I currently have no internet to look that up so you'll have to imagine the severity and nature of the botch. Anyway, the match is a bit of a mess, with Alfonso getting involved...and then Bigelow comes out and flattens RVD! Jericho picks the bones for the win. (C-)

Scorpio doesn't know what Sheik has against him, but he's not even here tonight for Scorpio to get him back! Sheik should probably stick to that plan. (C-) Tommy Dreamer tries to catch up to a distressed Beulah, but she doesn't want to deal with him right now, either. (C)

A main event of dubious quality sees the thrown-together pairing of Sabu and Bubba Ray take on the equally thrown-together Henry and Windham. Sign Guy Dudley is at ringside, but does more harm than good as he distracts his brother. This compounds Bubba Ray's midcard-ness, and Henry is able to put him away. (C+)

Overall: C- SUCCESS not enough wimmenz

Jericho successfully underwent surgery
