Same reason why some idiots still defending their queen, AOC, despite her telling them that they're peasants sitting in the cheap seats.

Curious question: What's your source and exact quote on this one?

So you interpreted that as such, huh? I see that as more taking charge of running an event--something that is nothing to do with nobility versus peasantry--on stage, and the people complaining are effectively doing so from either the "nosebleed section," the seats in the rear, or from outside the venue where the sound quality is shit, because they refuse to actually contribute anything of value. She is furthermore saying this to people criticizing her, not to her supporters, so you sitting there saying that she's calling her worshippers peasants is inaccurate at best.

Looking at the comments I see more of her critics confusing the aspect of taking charge. On one hand, that's kind of sad seeing so many people not realize you can take charge of an idea, an event, or a movement, without being the boss. On the other hand, of course she's enthusiastic about wanting to get things done, and that's the sort of thing we need from Congress; not campaigning for umpteen more terms of sitting around and campaigning for more terms while actually ignoring the needs of constituents. No, I don't see her calling herself the queen of anything, only someone taking up the reins because other people in her position refuse to even touch said reins (as though touching them costs the entire political career).
