I'm kinda curious if the folks who won $50 & $25 gift cards are still required to submit their tax ids along with signed/notarized affidavits.

when I won a $100 amazon gift card in BYiG I didn't have to do anything regarding taxes

Technically youre supposed to report it as income, but if GF/CBS did not ask for your tax id, the IRS wouldnt have known about it

Did you have to send in a signed/notarized affidavit?

The one time I won years ago (ironically in a huge multi way tiebreaker which I actually spent time on) I remember I had to provide SSN, though I forgot if it was directly to GF/CNET (at the time) or to the notary. I agree its overkill for a $50 gc; I netted something like $25 afterward, not even enough to fully pay for 1 new video game.
