Very little nonsense, pure gameplay and good difficulty balance between just finishing a level and completing it. Lots of level variety and dealing with the various stage gimmicks had a nice curve in difficulty as the game progressed. It looks beautiful and has a very catchy soundtrack as well. Definitely a bit of a hidden gem. It's still Nintendo so hidden is a strong word, but it's absolutely more than just a quick little minigame cash in. PS. I haven't beaten all the bonus stages yet, only the first. So technically it's maybe not really beat yet, but oh well. I'm actually happy there's more to do, I'll savor what's left.
