It's an ideal future but not realistic. 100% renewables will be possible one day and should be a goal. We need to invest more research monies into renewable energy production and ESPECIALLY energy storage so that solar/wind/hydro/geothermal power can be stored and transported as needed. 2050 is a more likely target date, but even that will be difficult. My whole career is in the energy sector, so I know a little bit at least. Exactly, it is not currently possible. With technology advancement, it may be. One thing to remember though is that renewable energies DO RELY HEAVILY ON non-renewable energies.
