Well, are the tweets Knowles makes against her accurate?

If so, it does make her look pretty bad.

it really comes down to what you define as "coming from"
if she left the Bronx at 5 years old but considers herself from coming there, is she wrong? it's a bit presumptuous for people to tell her no and you could see why she'd be annoyed by that
but then you could also feel that 13 other years of childhood outside of the Bronx means you're not really from there

the rest of it is crap though. of course a politician makes themselves appear a certain way to their voters, they're literally supposed to be representatives of the people

it's like saying i came from italy because i studied abroad there. or because my family took me on a vacation there.

where you are from is generally where you developed most as a person, not just random places you have been for periods of time.

if you went to college for 4 years somewhere, are you "from there"? Presumably, you'd actually develop as a person more during that period of time then when you are shitting your diaper and running around the house, which happens the same pretty much anywhere

You're comparing random places that people visit to a place that she was born at lol

how does where you are born affect who you are as a person and your experience if you don't actually grow up there? it's like saying i was born in the deep south before i was moved to Boston where I am now, and then running as someone who is deep in touch with the people of the South and their needs.

it's dishonest. where you are born by itself means nothing when it comes to how you grow up and your actual life experiences. yes, she has a connection to it. no, she did not grow up in it and it was not the home she developed as a person in

If you spent most of your life in and out of the deep south because that's where all of your family is was, and then subsequently got employed in the deep south and still spent a significant time there because that's where your job was then I wouldn't harangue you for saying you had a connection to the deep south and it's people. Unless you're trying to say that people don't have a connection to or develop life experiences around places where they spend time developing with their family members at or where they're employed, then that's just pretty laughable.
