Topic | On a scale of 1-10, how much would you mark out for this E3 announcement? |
RySenkari 12/31/18 7:58:22 AM #1: | It's Square Enix's keynote address at E3 2019. The guy on stage has been talking up Tomb Raider DLC, announcing the release date of the last couple Final Fantasy Xbox/Switch ports, announcing another mediocre-looking Tokyo RPG Factory game, giving out a bit more Final Fantasy VII Remake info (but no release date yet), and announces a decent looking Kingdom Hearts III DLC expansion. There's one more "huge" AAA game announcement left (probably NieR 3 but it could be another Octopath-esque Switch exclusive), but before that, the speaker launches into a brief aside about classic Square and Enix games. Which leads into the announcement of a "Square Enix Classics Collection", a collection of classic Square and Enix SNES games all compiled into one disc/cartridge, for the PS4/Xbox One/Switch. All games have their original graphics/sound, but get bug fixes/translation fixes/translations for the ones not already in English. 10 Squaresoft games, 10 Enix games, here's the list: ActRaiser Bahamut Lagoon Chrono Trigger Dragon Quest V Dragon Quest VI E.V.O.: Search For Eden Final Fantasy IV Final Fantasy V Final Fantasy VI Front Mission Illusion Of Gaia Live-A-Live Ogre Battle: The March Of The Black Queen Secret Of Mana Seiken Densetsu 3 Soul Blazer Star Ocean Terranigma Treasure Of The Rudras Wonder Project J Then before going into the next announcement, he re-iterates that this is a "Vol. 1" and that there will likely be a second collection of PS1/Nintendo 64-era classics. So yeah, if 1 is no reaction at all, and 10 is the pop Stone Cold Steve Austin got after running in to win Mankind the WWE Championship, what would your reaction be? --- This signature won't change until Chrono Trigger gets a re-release on a modern Nintendo console. ...
