TopicI was dumb enough to think Notre Dame actually had a chance this game.

There should be an ACC clause where they play in that title game if undefeated

If the ACC adopts a Big 12 style title game (which they should after lol Pitt in this years title game) then Notre Dame should be eligible for it.

Also I wouldn't call Notre Dames schedule weak by any stretch.

Let's compare their opponents to Georgia's

ND has a mix and matched Big 10/ACC/PAC 12 conference of:

Syracuse*
Pitt*
Wake Forest*
Florida State
Northwestern*
Michigan*
Stanford*
USC
Virginia Tech*

with at larges:
Vanderbilt*
Ball State (mid-major)
Navy (mid-major ind.)

Only two real cupcakes even on the schedule and neither is FCS and only 4 non bowl eligible opponents. Some of whom traditionally are pretty good like Navy, USC and Florida State.

Here's Georgia:
Austin Pea (FCS)
Georgia Tech*
Middle Tenn(mid major) *
UMass (FCS)

South Carolina*
LSU(L) *
Florida*
Kentucky*
Vanderbilt*
Tennessee
Missouri*
Auburn*

Alabama(L)*

The only way that doesnt look decently even to me is if you truly believe the SEC is THAT MUCH better than the other conferences and the fact that Ball State/Navy are better weakest schedule stops than Austin Peay and UMass.
