i believe in one panel he was on, comic-con or something, he said something along the lines that at one point he was told if he wanted more Teal'c storylines he would have to make them himself cause the writers were unsure how to do a proper Jaffa thing.

and that's how we got The Changeling and Birthright, which were great episodes

also, in the same panel he mentioned that Kelno'reem came to be cause he fell asleep on set, and just went "Teal'c is meditating"
