Lots of the animations are pretty choppy - Smash 4 looked smoother. But it's just a style that they went for, not necessarily a failure of the animators. Lucario is smoothed out and looks great. (Actually most of the furry characters got nice visual tweaks so I'm happy). Competitively the game is mostly same but with a giant roster and things marginally improved for the better. But where the game shines in comparison to Smash 4 is the single player. I couldn't even tell you what single player Smash 4 offered, but Ultimate brings an absolutely amazing single player experience.
