I care more about party balance than individuals, so with the FF8 crew you had the lead, the smart person, the goof, and the other goof (who also turns out to be a psycho). That's a quality party if you ask me. Then Rinoa and Irvine show up and it becomes a jumbled mess because we have the person who is incompetent at his one thing (say what you will about any character you dislike, but 'is bad at their thing' is the worst character trait to have), and everyone taking a backseat to Rinoa/Squall. --- https://imgur.com/M1heX2g RIP Paul Bearer.
