Divorce rates are getting higher and higher, how do you feel about that?

Honestly, I'm not phased by it. I think our marriage will last (I'm sure everyone thinks that when they get married). We've already been together for 7 years. We're both probably older than most newly weds (we're both 27. I'm not sure how old the average newly wed or first time divorcee is). Both our sets of parents are still together.

We know relationships take work, and we're both willing to work. But if it somehow doesn't work out, there's nothing wrong with finding happiness.

How was the wedding?

Wedding was great. Everything went smoothly, and we were on schedule, which is rare I guess. The minister we had was kinda an attention whore, which was weird, but besides that it was cool.

Where did you go on honeymoon assuming you had one?

We're in beautiful Maui, Hawaii. It's freaking great. We're gonna be here for ten days.

Was marrying her this close to Christmas a clever attempt to only have to buy a gift for the single occasion for the rest of your life?

Ha, that is a good idea, but no, she picked the wedding date. She's in med school, and she's on winter break right now (and so am I since I'm a teacher). It was just the best date that worked out for us.

It's funny that you mention the gift thing though. Her birthday is dec. 2 and mine is jan. 9. We've both been shafted in regarded to gifts because people give us gifts that count towards christmas and our birthdays. Early on in dating, we promised not to do that to each other.

So from december to february, it's an expensive month for the both of us:

her bday is dec 2
our wedding anniversary is dec 22
xmas on the 25th
my bday jan 9th
v-day feb 14
our first date anniversary is feb 15th

since we're married now, I'm gonna push for us to not celebrate our first date anniversary anymore, but I don't think she's gonna let that fly.

Have fun, man. Hope your marriage lasts!

Thank you!

If I skipped a question, let me know! Thanks for all the well wishes
