I mean, it'd be fine if it also addressed the root causes of unemployment, thereby ensuring that everyone who needs food stamps also has access to a qualifying job. That'd be great, even. As it stands, though, this is more likely to cause a rise in crime as people who can't find work resort to stealing in order to eat.
