Star Wars since the great EU purge has completely abandoned any semblance of continuity, which retroactively ruins the original movies. If you could just hyperspace jump through a forcefield and pull up 1000 ft from the surface of Star Killer, why couldn't the rebels have just jumped through the shield around DSII in Jedi?
