Been playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It's got some flaws.

It's dark, and I don't just mean tonally. Like "I can't see shit" dark at times. And you have no control over when Lara turns on her flashlight.

There's no visible oxygen meter, which is really inconvenient when there are predatory fish you'll have to hide from. Maybe an oxygen meter isn't realistic, but you know what is? Knowing how long my lungs are gonna hold out. The Far Cry games (from 3 onward at least) did this as well, and it was stupid then, too.

It's not always obvious where to go next, even on medium exploration difficulty. Even some camera changes would help. And the solutions to certain puzzles are not very intuitive. Like this one where you rotate mirrors to redirect light beams. You have to shine one on an object far across the room instead of a nearby one, and the object is partially blocked from view by a thing in the center of the room. Even on easy puzzle difficulty (where Lara gives more obvious hints), I gave up and used a walkthrough.

And it makes no sense to have to upgrade equipment all over again, story-wise. Not only has Lara been through this shit twice now, but one of the DLCs for the previous game had her prove herself as the rightful owner of Croft Manor and presumably a giant pile of money as well. She should know by now to have the shootiest guns, some medkits, and an underwater oxygen mask ready before going on an adventure like this. Not to mention knowing how tough the sinister organization opposing her is, described herself as "Illuminati-like".
