Almost entirely due to the emergence of Kuznetsov who could play with Ovechkin (and Wilson of course) and the improvement of Oshie to play with Backstrom. Name me a recent cup winner who didn't have at least two lines that were really serious threats. Chicago split up Kane and Toews. LA split up Kopitar and Carter.
