All I have to say to you, as someone who has only seen up until the 5th season is be prepared to be severely disappointed with some of the villains and storylines. Some of the stories will start in one season and are just cut for no reason, or continue in another season with no mention of the characters of that story during the in-between.

There is a character in the series who you will meet early in season 2 who I hope you fall in love with as much as I did. The character was just fantastic..... and they are only shown in 2 episodes, a season apart, in one of the most disappointing storylines of any television series.
