| CaptainOfCrush 12/15/18 6:05:26 AM #491: | I traded in some sleep to power through World of Light over the past few days; just finished some hours ago. That was way funner than the Subspace Emissary; I especially got a nostalgia-kick out of their handling of Castlevania, Street Fighter, Donkey Kong Country, and Zelda. Excellent fanservice all around. Regarding Spirit battles, I did have trouble with Wily and The Boss, but I never got too frustrated since you could retry immediately with no penalty. Giga Mac seemed like it would be the death of me until I thought to cheese it by standing at the very edge of the stage and baiting a throw. I also cheesed Pauline by running after Peach until her AI killed her off for me. Spirit Board fights are way more intense since you need to waste valuable resources for rematches, and even if you win, more resources need to be spent for a better shot at getting the damn Spirit. Because of that, I feel Liquid Snake, who I just failed against like five times before giving up, was my toughest fight yet. I couldn't justify spending any more Retries. Also, did anyone else brute force their way through many fights with the Metal Face Spirit?
