It's always been like that, but I think you're incorrect on the clueless liberals thing. There is a very strong social democrat and libertarian presence there though that's for sure and they're generally much better informed than this board. Social democrats and libertarians are just liberals that want weed legalization and healthcare/education. wat They both still believe in liberalism. They just want either an expanded welfare state or weed. Libertarians have flip flopped so much that you don't where they are. Some of them are just liberals that want less taxes and weed. Others have been flirting with fascism. Libertarians absolutely do not want an expanded welfare state. Libertarians want an efficient safety net. Not all this unnecessary fluff. Hell, in Switzerland they simply give their citizens a set amount of money for their health care costs and they can choose where to seek a physician. They also subsidize the costs up by matching the cost expenditure.
