That's a pretty normal reaction to life.

It never really goes away, you just slowly become desensitised to it until you can fake what it was like to have emotions to a degree that the people around you don't suspect that you're dead inside and are running on autopilot more than anything with joy and meaning bereft from your core existence.

Edit: Seriously, even if you go to support groups, they outright say they aren't there to FIX it, just make you able to deal with it better.
